My dog ate some smokeless coal - Do I need to worry?
No.
Dog's must really like the taste of our smokeless coal, because we get this question a lot, but there is absolutely nothing for you to worry about. Your dog may well be sick after eating smokeless coal, but there are no short or long term side effects for you to worry about.
Yes, smokeless coal does contain trace elements of potentially harmful substances such as sulphur and chlorine for example, but your dog would have to eat tonnes of fuel before these would have any adverse effect.
