Can I use Smokeless Coal to Barbecue?
Short Answer: No
Long Answer: Smokeless Coal is designed and manufactured purely for home heating on a fireplace or stove. Smokeless coal contains traces of sulphur, chlorine and potentially other harmful chemicals that you do not want anywhere near your food.
When smokeless coal is burnt correctly on a fireplace or stove these harmful chemicals are either burnt off or escape harmlessly out of the chimney.
So our advice is to just stick with charcoal.
